I have been baking cookies and selling them for almost 5 yrs. now. I have baked heart shaped; baby shaped even Christmas shaped cookies. But one day, there was a man on my front porch ordering a dozen batches of cookies to be given as gifts to colleagues. His request was to make beakers and test tubes as cookies. It was a challenge for me because it was not the order I was used to. First, I need to look for these science cookie cutters that I would need to make these cookies. If there are any, because of the 5 yrs I have been baking cookies this was my first time to get an order like this. So where do I turn to look for unusual stuff? Of course, I found it over the internet. I found cookie cutters shaped as flasks, beakers, atoms and test tubes. I ordered a set over the internet. I was excited to make these unusual cookies. Finally, after a day the science cookie cutters arrived. I used the recipe for my regular cookies. Cut them and baked the cookies. Once they were done icing them was another thing. The last time I saw beakers and flasks were 10 yrs ago at school. I surfed the ever reliable internet and saw some great ideas for colors and designs to do for the icing of the cookies. I utilized most of the ideas I saw. I had a blast on making these batches of cookies and the man who ordered them was pleased.
